Rush Through Time is a compilation released in 1979 on Mercury Records, issued in Europe as a picture disc only. It is essentially a European version of a 1976 American promotional disc, Everything Your Listeners Ever Wanted To Hear By Rush But You Were Afraid To Play, with two tracks from Caress of Steel swapped out for two from A Farewell to Kings. That puts it in the middle of the band's progressive rock run of the 1970s.

The record was later repackaged as a standard vinyl album, with a colour sleeve and updated back cover graphics, and reached UK and European shops on 1981-07-03. According to drummer Neil Peart, Polygram's German branch put it out without the band's involvement, so it stands as a curiosity rather than a planned release. Collectors of Rush oddities will find it an interesting piece of the group's early catalogue.
