Album
Clockwork Angels
Clockwork Angels is Rush's nineteenth and final studio album, released on 8 June 2012 through Roadrunner Records. It grew out of a short break after the Snakes & Arrows Tour, when the band chose to write again. Two of its songs, "Caravan" and "BU2B", were recorded in April 2010 and sent out to radio and offered as a download that June, then played on the Time Machine Tour. The rest was mostly recorded between October and December 2011 at Revolution Recording in Toronto.
It closes the story of a band that began in 1974, and it is the last record with drummer and lyricist Neil Peart, who died in 2020. Singles followed in the form of "Headlong Flight", "The Wreckers" and "The Anarchist". The album went to number one in Canada, reached number two on the Billboard 200, and won Rock Album of the Year at the 2013 Juno Awards.
