The Flesh Alive is Gojira's second live album, released on 4 June 2012 through Mascot Records. It arrived in the same year as the French band's studio record L'Enfant sauvage, and it sits between that release and the earlier The Way of All Flesh, which came out in 2008.

Most of the tracks are drawn from The Way of All Flesh, so this is a document of that record's songs in a live setting. For anyone who loves Gojira's blend of death metal and progressive metal, it offers a way to hear that material played on stage. It also makes a handy companion to the 2008 studio album.
