Les Enfants sauvages
Les Enfants sauvages is the third live album from Gojira, the French band whose records often sit between death metal and heavy metal. It came out on 11 March 2014 through Roadrunner Records, and it arrived as a CD and DVD set housed in a 60-page hardcover photo book, so it was designed as something to look through as well as play.
The title, French for "The Wild Children", nods to L'Enfant sauvage, the studio album they released in 2012. That makes this a document of the band in the period after that record, sitting between it and Magma in 2016. For fans who have followed the band from Terra incognita through The Way of All Flesh, it's a chance to hear the music in a concert setting and to own it in an unusually generous package.
