Album
L’Enfant sauvage
L'Enfant sauvage, French for "The Wild Child", is the fifth studio album by Gojira, the French band who had already built a following with From Mars to Sirius in 2005 and The Way of All Flesh in 2008. It came out on 26 June 2012 on Roadrunner Records, and it was their first record for a major label.
The music draws on death metal, progressive metal, groove metal and technical death metal, so there is plenty of weight and intricacy to take in. It sits between The Way of All Flesh and Magma in the band's catalogue, and it makes a good place to hear Gojira at the point they stepped onto a bigger stage while keeping their heavy, complex sound.
