Give Me Your Soul… Please
Give Me Your Soul… Please is the twelfth studio album by Danish heavy metal band King Diamond, released on 26 June 2007 through Massacre Records. It follows The Puppet Master from 2003 and Abigail II: The Revenge from 2002, and like much of the band's catalogue it is built around a single story rather than a set of unrelated songs.
The concept and cover art both grow out of a painting called "My Mother's Eyes". The tale is told by two dead children, murdered by their father, who relate what happened to him. King Diamond has pointed to real cases of parents killing their children and themselves as an influence. The black cat in the story is modelled on his own cat, Magic. It is also the final record to feature bassist Hal Patino and guitarist Andy LaRocque.
