Album
Black Rain
Black Rain is Ozzy Osbourne's tenth studio album, released on 22 May 2007 through Epic Records. It followed Under Cover, his 2005 collection of covers, and gave fans a full set of new material in the heavy metal and hard rock mould he has worked in since Blizzard of Ozz in 1980.
The line-up is worth knowing about. Zakk Wylde returns on guitar for the first time since Down to Earth in 2001, and Rob Nicholson makes his debut on bass. It also turned out to be the last record with drummer Mike Bordin. Wylde would not appear on another Osbourne album until Patient Number 9 in 2022. The record entered the US Billboard 200 at No. 3, selling about 152,000 copies in its first week, which was Osbourne's highest debut at that point. It has since been certified Gold in the US.
