Album
Ozzmosis
Ozzmosis is Ozzy Osbourne's seventh studio album, released in October 1995 on Epic. It arrived after he had announced his retirement following 1991's No More Tears, so it marks a return rather than a farewell. Recorded in Paris and New York with producer Michael Beinhorn, it brings back long-time guitarist Zakk Wylde, alongside former Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Deen Castronovo.
Beinhorn played most of the keyboards himself, while Rick Wakeman added Mellotron to "Perry Mason" and "I Just Want You". Those two tracks, along with "See You on the Other Side", were issued as singles. The record climbed to number four on the US Billboard 200 and number 22 in the UK, and it has since gone double platinum in America. Critics were divided at the time, but the Butler reunion and Wylde's guitar make it a rewarding chapter in Ozzy's solo story.
