Riff After Riff After Motherfucking Riff

Popularity10.6

Riff After Riff After Motherfucking Riff is a 2002 compilation from The Wildhearts, issued by Universal International. It gathers the B-sides from the various versions of the band's 2002 single "Vanilla Radio", and adds one further track, "Stormy in the North, Karma in the South". "Vanilla Radio" itself would turn up the following year on their studio album The Wildhearts Must Be Destroyed.

It sits in the gap between Endless, Nameless in 1997 and that 2003 record, which makes it a useful snapshot of what the band were writing in the lead-up. A expanded US edition, titled Riff After Riff, followed in 2003 with more tracks recorded in 2001 and 2002, mostly used as B-sides for singles from The Wildhearts Must Be Destroyed. Most of the material also reappears on the 2004 compilation Coupled With, but this is the original home for those songs, and a handy one for fans who like to dig past the albums.
