Tokyo Suits Me
Tokyo Suits Me is a live album by the Wildhearts, released on 27 January 1999 through Mercury Records. The Newcastle upon Tyne band had formed in 1989 and had spent the mid-1990s building a following in the UK, with P.H.U.Q. reaching the top 20 in 1995 and Fishing for Luckies climbing to number 16 after its 1996 reissue.
It arrived after Endless, Nameless in 1997, and before the band went on hiatus and returned in 2003 with The Wildhearts Must Be Destroyed. That record went on to become their only release to make the top 40 of Japan's albums chart, which gives a live set with Tokyo in its title a neat bit of context. For anyone who knows the studio records, this is a chance to hear that material played live.
