Fishing for Luckies
Fishing for Luckies is a Wildhearts album that began as a fan club-only release of newly recorded material. It was later expanded and reissued with extra tracks, so it has since reached a wider audience than it first did. It came out in 1994 on Bronze, with a UK and European release on 12 December that year.
It sits between Earth vs. The Wildhearts and P.H.U.Q. in the band's run of studio albums, which makes it a useful stepping stone in the early part of their story. Its sound falls somewhere across alternative rock and hard rock. If you already love the band's first record and want to hear what they did next, or you enjoy digging into records that started life as something for the faithful, this one is worth tracking down.
