Salival is a limited edition box set from Tool, released on 12 December 2000 through Volcano Records. It gathers live recordings and outtakes on a CD, alongside video material, and came out in two versions: CD with VHS, or CD with DVD. A 56-page book of photographs and stills from the band's music videos completes the package.

It arrived between Ænima (1996) and Lateralus (2001), so it works as a stopgap of sorts for anyone waiting on the next studio record. Its appeal lies in the look and feel of the whole thing: the band's visual side sits right alongside the music, which suits a group whose videos were always part of the story. A good one for fans who like to dig around the edges of the main albums.
