Messiah
Messiah is the fifth EP from Godflesh, the English industrial metal band. It was recorded and mixed in 1994, in the period around their album Selfless, though it stayed unreleased for several years. It came out in 2000 on Avalanche Recordings, going out independently to members of the band's fan club on 5 December, and it also carried four remixes made in 1995.
The story doesn't end there. After Justin Broadrick disbanded Godflesh, the material was reissued through Relapse Records on 1 April 2003. For anyone following the band, it's a chance to hear work from the mid-1990s that surfaced after Us and Them, and just before Hymns arrived in 2001.
