EP
The Earache Peel Sessions
The Earache Peel Sessions is an EP from Godflesh, released by Earache Records on 8 December 2014. It gathers the band's sessions for John Peel's radio show, a setting that suited a group so firmly rooted in the heavier, more abrasive end of the underground.
It arrived in the same year as A World Lit Only by Fire, the album that marked the band's return after the long gap following Hymns in 2001. For anyone who knows them through Streetcleaner, Pure or Selfless, it offers a way back to their early sound, and for newcomers it is a compact place to start.
