Merciless
Merciless is the fourth EP from Godflesh, the English industrial metal band. It came out on 23 August 1994, released by Earache Records, with Columbia Records handling the United States release.
It arrived the same year as the band's third studio album, Selfless, and sits alongside it in their catalogue. The two were brought together in 1996 as the compilation Selfless/Merciless, which makes it easy to hear them as companion pieces. For anyone working through Godflesh after Streetcleaner and Pure, this is a short, heavy detour that places the band's mechanical, experimental side next to its metal roots.
