Album
Steal This Album!
Steal This Album! is the third studio album by System of a Down, the Californian band whose blend of alternative metal and avant-garde leanings set them apart from much of the nu metal crowd. It was produced by Rick Rubin and guitarist Daron Malakian, and came out on 26 November 2002 through American Recordings and Columbia.
It arrived straight after Toxicity and before the paired releases Mezmerize and Hypnotize in 2005, so it sits in the middle of the band's run of early records. It reached number 15 on the US Billboard 200. For anyone who has worked through the albums either side, it makes a worthwhile stop for a fuller picture of how the group developed across those years.
