Wide Awake in Europe
Wide Awake in Europe is a live EP from U2, released on 26 November 2010 through Interscope Records. It was put together by the organisers of Record Store Day as a way to draw shoppers into independent record shops over the holiday season. Just 5,000 copies were pressed on 12-inch vinyl, mostly sent to shops in North America for Black Friday.
The three tracks come from three different concerts on the U2 360° Tour in 2009 and 2010. They are "I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight" and "Moment of Surrender", both from the band's 2009 album No Line on the Horizon, plus "Mercy", a previously unreleased song that the band debuted on the tour. That last track is the main draw for collectors.
