Zoo TV: Live From Sydney
Zoo TV: Live From Sydney captures U2 at the height of their Zoo TV Tour, filmed on 27 November 1993 at Sydney Football Stadium during the tour's "Zoomerang" leg. David Mallet directed the concert, which was shown worldwide on pay-per-view before reaching VHS and Laserdisc in May 1994. It arrived between Zooropa and Pop, when the band were deep in the self-mocking, media-saturated world of the Achtung Baby era.
The road to the show was bumpy. Sydney's stadium trust first turned the band down, and New South Wales Premier John Fahey stepped in to let the dates go ahead. The previous night's rehearsal show went on without Adam Clayton, who was unwell after an alcoholic blackout, so his bass technician Stuart Morgan covered. Clayton was back for the filmed night. The film won the Grammy for Best Music Video, Long Form in 1995 and was reissued on DVD in 2006.
