U218 Singles
U218 Singles is a greatest hits collection from the Irish band U2, released on 20 November 2006. Most editions hold 18 tracks: sixteen of their best-known singles, then two newcomers. The first is a cover of the Skids' "The Saints Are Coming", recorded with Green Day to raise money for Hurricane Katrina charities. The second, "Window in the Skies", closes the record. In the UK and some other markets, "I Will Follow" opens the set as an extra track.
It arrives after the band's 2004 studio album How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, so it works as a tidy overview of their career to that point. A companion DVD, U218 Videos, gathered their music videos. The album entered the Billboard 200 at number 12 and stayed on the chart for 45 weeks. Even with a November release, it ranked as the seventh-biggest-selling album worldwide that year.
