Please: PopHeart Live EP
Please: PopHeart Live EP is a four-track live release from U2, recorded on the PopMart Tour and issued by Island on 8 September 1997. It arrived towards the end of the tour's second leg, and it was the band's first EP since Wide Awake in America in 1985. Despite the title, it wasn't the single for "Please". That came two months later.
Two of the songs come from Pop, the album U2 had just released, and two are from The Joshua Tree, so new and older material sit side by side. It was released in most regions except the United States, where the same four tracks later appeared on the "Please" single. The cover photograph was taken by set designer Willie Williams and shows the PopMart stage arch, with Keith Haring artwork on the LED screen. It's a small but neat souvenir of that tour.
