10,000 Days
10,000 Days is the fourth studio album by the American band Tool, released on 28 April 2006 on their own Tool Dissectional label. It follows Undertow, Ænima and Lateralus, and sits in the progressive metal and alternative metal territory the band had made their own. It was also the first time since Undertow that they worked at Grandmaster, and the first time in that span they did without producer David Bottrill.
The record was a commercial success. It entered the Billboard 200 at number one, selling 564,000 copies in its first week, and went on to earn double platinum certification from both the RIAA and the RMNZ. "Vicarious", "The Pot" and "Jambi" all reached the top ten of the rock singles chart. It would also be Tool's last release for more than a decade, with Fear Inoculum following in August 2019, so it closes a long chapter in their story.
