An Ode to Woe
An Ode to Woe is the second live album by the English doom metal band My Dying Bride, released on 28 April 2008 through Peaceville. It captures a show recorded in Amsterdam during the mini-tour for A Line of Deathless Kings, and it came out on both CD and DVD. The performance was first broadcast by the website Fabchannel.
In the band's story, it is the second live CD they put out and their third DVD. It is also the first My Dying Bride release to feature Lena Abé on bass and Dan Mullins on drums, so it works as a snapshot of a changed rhythm section on stage. Fans of the band's slow, heavy sound who want to hear that line-up in concert will find it a useful place to start.
