For Darkest Eyes

Released11 June 2002
Popularity8.5

For Darkest Eyes is a live release from the English doom metal band My Dying Bride, and it was their first video release. It first appeared on VHS in 1997, and the DVD edition followed on Peaceville in 2002, reaching the UK and Europe on 29 April and the US on 11 June.

The DVD restores material that the old tape format had no room for. That means live footage recorded at Willem II in the Netherlands on 3 November 1993, a picture gallery, and a performance of Sear Me filmed at Simplon in 1992. It sits between the band's early albums and The Dreadful Hours, which arrived in 2001, so it's a handy document of their early live years for anyone who only knows the records.
