Bring Me Victory
Bring Me Victory is the fourth EP from English doom metal band My Dying Bride, released on 26 October 2009 through Peaceville. It follows their album For Lies I Sire, and the title track is taken from that record, with its video included here.
The rest of the EP is a mix of old and new. Aaron Stainthorpe wrote two extra verses for the English traditional song "Scarborough Fair", and the band cover "Failure" by Swans, a song long admired within the group. There is also a live version of "Vast Choirs", first heard on their debut, As the Flower Withers. It is also the first release to feature Shaun Macgowan on keyboards and violins, on tracks two and three, after he took over from Katie Stone.
