Words From the Exit Wound is the eighth studio album by Napalm Death, the British extreme metal band. Earache Records released it on 26 October 1998, and it appeared only on CD. It blends death metal and grindcore, and it follows Inside the Torn Apart from the year before.

It closes the band's experimental period, the run of records in which they pushed beyond the sound of their early work. It also hints at what came next: a return to a more traditional death metal and grindcore approach, which they would pick up again on Enemy of the Music Business in 2000. For anyone tracing how Napalm Death moved from exploration back to their roots, this is the record where that turn begins to show.
