Utilitarian is the fourteenth studio album by Napalm Death, the British grindcore band, and it came out on Century Media on 27 February 2012. It follows Time Waits for No Slave from 2009 and sits in the second half of a career that began with Scum in 1987 and From Enslavement to Obliteration the following year. The record blends grindcore with death metal and deathgrind.

It was well received, with Loudwire ranking it the second best metal album of 2012. The same outlet later placed "The Wolf I Feed" at number 64 on its list of the best metal songs of the 2010s. For anyone who last checked in with the band in the 1980s or 90s, this is a good way to hear how they sounded some twenty-five years on, and a reminder that they were still being rated among the best in metal.
