Mass Appeal Madness
Mass Appeal Madness is an EP from Napalm Death, released in May 1991 on Earache Records. It arrived between the albums Harmony Corruption, from 1990, and Utopia Banished, from 1992, so it sits at a point when the band were working in the overlap between grindcore and death metal.
The record carries a dedication to Roger Patterson, the Atheist bassist who died earlier that same year. That gives this short release a quiet human footnote, and it's a good reason for fans of the band's early nineties output to seek it out alongside the full-length records on either side.
