Hourglass
Hourglass is a compilation from American heavy metal band Lamb of God, released on 28 May 2010 through Epic. It was put together as a three-part anthology, tracing the band's career in order across separate volumes.
Volume One, The Underground Years, gathers the best of their earlier days as Burn the Priest, along with songs from New American Gospel and As the Palaces Burn. Volume Two, The Epic Years, picks up with material from Ashes of the Wake, Sacrament and Wrath. A box set adds a third volume, The Vault, filled with rare, previously unreleased recordings. For anyone wanting a guided tour of the band's first decade, or a look at the odds and ends behind it, this is a handy place to start.
