Wrath
Wrath is the fifth studio album by American heavy metal band Lamb of God, released on 23 February 2009 through Roadrunner Records. It follows Sacrament from 2006 and sits in the middle of a run that stretches from New American Gospel in 2000 to the band's more recent work. Its sound draws on groove metal, death metal and metalcore, the mix that has defined the group from the start.
It was also a notable moment commercially. Wrath reached number 2 on the Billboard 200, the band's highest placing on that chart, and sold 68,000 copies in the US in its first week. For anyone who wants to hear Lamb of God at their most widely heard, this is a fine place to start, sitting between Ashes of the Wake and Resolution in the catalogue.
