Resolution is the sixth studio album by the American band Lamb of God, released on 24 January 2012 through Epic. It followed Wrath (2009) and came before VII: Sturm und Drang (2015), so it sits right in the middle of the group's run of studio records. The band's sound is filed under groove metal and alternative metal, and this record belongs firmly to that heavier, rhythm-driven side of their catalogue.

It was issued as a single-disc CD and as a two-disc deluxe edition, so there is a choice for listeners who want a bit more from the package. For anyone who knows the band from New American Gospel, As the Palaces Burn or Ashes of the Wake, it makes a natural next step, showing where the group stood as the 2010s began.
