As the Palaces Burn is the second studio album from Lamb of God, or the third if you count their earlier days as Burn the Priest. It came out on 6 May 2003 through Prosthetic Records, and it sits between the debut New American Gospel and the later Ashes of the Wake in the Virginia band's groove metal story.

The band produced it themselves with Devin Townsend, and it found a much bigger audience on the radio than its predecessor, helped along by three singles. Its main riff on "11th Hour" was later picked by Loudwire as one of the best metal riffs of the 2000s. A remixed and remastered 10th anniversary edition followed in November 2013 with three demo tracks added, and in 2023 the band played the whole record at Milwaukee Metal Fest to mark its 20th birthday.
