Album
Save Me, San Francisco
Save Me, San Francisco is Train's fifth studio album, released in October 2009 on Columbia. It was the first of two records the band made as a three-piece, and it sits between For Me, It's You and California 37 in their catalogue. It was certified 3× Platinum in the US in 2024.
The record is best known for "Hey, Soul Sister", a return to the band's folk-rock roots. It reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and is their highest-peaking single in the United States, as well as in Canada, Australia, the Netherlands and New Zealand. Later singles kept the album busy: "If It's Love" topped the Adult Top 40 and reached number 34 on the Hot 100, while "Marry Me" also climbed to number 34. The title track followed in 2011, peaking at number 75. It's a warm, hook-heavy place to start with the band.
