Alive at Last
Alive at Last is a live album from Train, released on 2 November 2004 by Columbia. It is the band's first live record, arriving after three studio albums and the run of success that followed the release of Drops of Jupiter in 2001 and My Private Nation in 2003.
That placement makes it a useful snapshot of Train at a busy point in their story. The band had by then made their name with songs such as "Meet Virginia", "Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)" and "Calling All Angels", and this record is the place to hear that rock-leaning pop material played on stage rather than polished in the studio. It suits fans who know the hits and want to hear how they sound live.
