Album
Lifeblood
Lifeblood is the seventh studio album by the Welsh band Manic Street Preachers, released on 1 November 2004 by Sony Music UK. It followed Know Your Enemy and came before Send Away the Tigers. Two singles were taken from it: "The Love of Richard Nixon" and "Empty Souls".
Reviews were generally positive, yet it remains the band's least commercially successful record, peaking at number 13 in the UK album chart. The members themselves were often harsh about it over the years, though they have spoken more warmly of it more recently. That shift makes it a good record to revisit, and an expanded, remastered edition appeared in 2024 for its 20th anniversary, giving fans a fresh way in.
