Mudhoney
Mudhoney is the debut studio album from the American rock band of the same name, released on 1 November 1989 through Sub Pop Records. It arrived after a run of singles and two EPs, Superfuzz Bigmuff and Boiled Beef & Rotting Teeth, so it was the band's first full-length LP. It sits at the start of a studio catalogue that stretches through to Plastic Eternity in 2023, and it is filed under grunge and rock.
One oddity is the instrumental "Magnolia Caboose Babyshit", a cover of Blue Cheer's "Magnolia Caboose Babyfinger" that still carries a Mudhoney credit. New vinyl copies also came with a band poster, shot by Michael Lavine in a blue filter and announcing that the album is out. It is a good place to start if you want to hear where the band's story began.
