Superfuzz Bigmuff
Superfuzz Bigmuff is the debut EP from Seattle grunge band Mudhoney, released in 1988 on Sub Pop Records. It was the band's first major release, and it arrived a year before their self-titled first album, so it works as the starting point for everything that followed.
In 1990 it was reissued as Superfuzz Bigmuff Plus Early Singles, which gathered the EP together with the band's earliest singles. That edition is a handy way in for anyone wanting to hear Mudhoney at the very start, when the Seattle scene around Sub Pop was only beginning to take shape. Every later album, from Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge to Plastic Eternity, grows from this first statement.
