Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge

Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge is the second studio album by Mudhoney, the American grunge and garage punk band. It came out on Sub Pop Records on 26 July 1991, following their self-titled debut of 1989, and it arrived while the group was weighing up a move to a major label.

They stayed put. The album shipped 50,000 copies on release and is credited with helping to keep Sub Pop in business, which gives it a place in the label's own story as well as the band's. Two singles followed: Let It Slide, issued as an EP in Europe and the United States with bonus tracks and songs that missed the album cut, including an alternate version of "Check-Out Time", and Into The Drink, put out as a promotional release. Guitarist Steve Turner has named it his favourite Mudhoney album as a whole, which is a good reason to start here.
