Album
Fly to the Rainbow
Fly to the Rainbow is the second studio album by the German band Scorpions, released on 1 November 1974 on RCA Victor. It follows their 1972 debut, Lonesome Crow, and marks a real turning point in the group's story, with a changed line-up that includes guitarist Uli Jon Roth and bassist Francis Buchholz, both appearing on a Scorpions record for the first time.
It is also the only Scorpions album to feature drummer Jürgen Rosenthal, which gives it a distinct place in the band's history. Filed under hard rock and heavy metal, it captures the group in an early phase, before In Trance arrived the following year and the run of records that built their reputation. For anyone tracing how Scorpions took shape, this is the album where the new band begins to emerge.
