Stage
Stage is David Bowie's second live album, recorded on the 1978 Isolar II Tour and released through RCA Victor in September 1978. It arrived in the middle of his late-1970s run, after the studio albums Low and "Heroes" in 1977 and before Lodger in 1979, so it catches him on the road at a point when his catalogue was already wide-ranging.
Its mix of art rock, blues and straight-ahead rock gives a snapshot of that stretch of his career in concert. The album has been reissued numerous times, each edition with an expanded track listing, which says something about how much interest it has held for fans who want to hear that tour in fuller form.
