Club Bowie: Rare and Unreleased 12″ Mixes

Club Bowie: Rare and Unreleased 12″ Mixes is a David Bowie remix compilation, issued by Virgin in December 2003. It gathers club mixes of some of his best-known songs, and the mixes were not made at the time the original records came out, so this is a look back at his catalogue through a dancefloor lens rather than a collection of period 12-inch singles.

It arrived in the same year as his studio album Reality, in a career that stretched back to his 1967 debut. The cover bills the contents as rare and unreleased, though in practice the selection leans on familiar hits given fresh treatments. For anyone who enjoys hearing well-worn Bowie songs rebuilt for the club, it offers a different angle on them.
