Welcome to the Blackout (live London ’78)
Welcome to the Blackout (Live London '78) is a live album by David Bowie, taken from the London concerts of the Isolar II Tour. It first appeared on 21 April 2018 as a limited vinyl release for Record Store Day.
It sits in the late 1970s part of Bowie's story, after Low and "Heroes" and before Lodger, so it catches him on stage in the wake of those two studio records. A wider CD edition followed on 29 June 2018, alongside download and streaming releases, which made the London shows easy to hear for anyone who missed the vinyl. For fans of his art rock side, it is a useful live companion to that period.
