Album
Firepower
Firepower is the eighteenth studio album by Judas Priest, released on 9 March 2018 through Sony Records International. It arrived four years after Redeemer of Souls and brought a notable reunion behind the desk: Tom Allom, who had last produced the band on Ram It Down in 1988, returned to the role, with Andy Sneap joining him as co-producer for the first time.
The record did well on both sides of the Atlantic. It reached No. 5 in the UK, the band's first top-ten album there since British Steel, and it debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 with around 49,000 copies sold in its first week in the US, making it their highest-charting album in America. Videos were made for "Lightning Strike", "Spectre" and "No Surrender", and a lyric video accompanied "Never the Heroes". For anyone who loved the band's classic-era sound, it's a strong place to catch up.
