Album
Bad Witch
Bad Witch is the ninth studio album by Nine Inch Nails, released on 22 June 2018 through Capitol Records and The Null Corporation. It closes a trilogy that began with the EPs Not the Actual Events and Add Violence. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross produced it, with Alan Moulder credited only for mixing, a first for the band since Year Zero.
It is also one of their most unexpected records. Reznor plays saxophone, and the album's mood owes a clear debt to David Bowie's Blackstar. Bowie was a collaborator in the 1990s and a primary influence on Reznor. At just over thirty minutes, it is the band's shortest full-length release. The sole single was "God Break Down the Door". Reviews were generally positive, with some critics calling it their best work in a decade, and it reached No. 12 in both the US and UK.
