Shrine ’69

Shrine '69 is a live album by Fleetwood Mac, released on 22 June 1999 by Rykodisc. It was recorded at a Los Angeles concert on 25 January 1969, when the band were still a British blues rock outfit, long before the Rumours era. It arrived thirty years after the show itself.

The set catches the group in their Peter Green period, with versions of their recent hits "Albatross" and "Need Your Love So Bad" alongside less familiar numbers such as "Before the Beginning" and "Lemon Squeezer". It is a useful snapshot of the band between Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac and Then Play On, and worth hearing if you only know the later, glossier records.
