Nothing Safe: The Best of the Box
Nothing Safe: The Best of the Box is Alice in Chains' first greatest hits album, released by Columbia on 29 June 1999. It gathers the band's best-known material into a single-disc overview, drawn from a run of studio albums that began with Facelift in 1990 and continued through Dirt in 1992 and the self-titled record of 1995.
The draw for existing fans was "Get Born Again", a previously unreleased track put out as the lead single. It reached No. 4 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and No. 12 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart, and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Hard Rock Performance in 2000. For newcomers, the compilation is a handy way into a band whose sound sits across grunge, alternative metal and hard rock.
