The Very Best of Dokken
The Very Best of Dokken is a 16-song compilation from the American heavy metal band, released on Rhino in July 1999. It gathers most of the group's singles from before 1995 and presents them in chronological order, so you can follow the band's progress from start to finish in a single sitting.
The track list reaches beyond the regular studio albums. It includes the instrumental "Mr. Scary" and "Walk Away", the only studio recording on the 1988 live album Beast from the East. It also features "Mirror Mirror", taken from Don Dokken's 1990 solo record Up from the Ashes, and "Too High to Fly" from the 1995 reunion album Dysfunctional. That makes it a handy way to hear a few of the band's odder corners alongside the hits.
