Erase the Slate
Erase the Slate is Dokken's seventh studio album, released on 15 June 1999 by CMC International Records. It sits between Shadowlife, from 1997, and Long Way Home, which followed in 2002, and it finds the American heavy metal band working in a straight-ahead rock and metal style.
The record has a double claim on the band's history. It is the only Dokken studio album to feature Reb Beach, the guitarist previously known for his time in Winger. It is also the last to include Jeff Pilson, the band's long-time bassist. For anyone tracing how the group's line-up changed after its 1980s run, it marks a distinct moment and is well worth a listen.
