Overnight Sensation
Overnight Sensation is Motörhead's thirteenth studio album, released on 15 October 1996. It arrived in the middle of the band's mid-90s run, following Sacrifice from the year before, and it was their second record for the Steamhammer label and their second for CMC International in the US.
The record is notable for its line-up. It was the first Motörhead album since Another Perfect Day in 1983 to feature just three players, and that trio stayed together until the band came to an end in 2015, making it their last change of personnel and their longest-serving line-up. CMC International got properly behind it, and it was the best-distributed Motörhead record for some time. It reached the charts in Germany, Sweden and Finland, which makes it a good place to hear the band settling into the form they would keep for the rest of their career.
