Album
Feel the Fire
Feel the Fire is the debut studio album by Overkill, an American band working in speed and thrash metal. It came out on 15 October 1985 through Megaforce Records, and it marks the starting point of a recording career that has since run to twenty studio albums.
For anyone tracing the story of thrash in the mid-1980s, this is where Overkill's long run begins. The follow-up, Taking Over, arrived in 1987, and the band kept releasing records steadily through to Scorched in 2023. Hearing Feel the Fire first gives you the band at the very beginning, before the later albums built on it, and it is a natural place to start if you want to understand how that catalogue grew.
