Overkill
Overkill is the first EP from the thrash metal band of the same name, released in 1985 on Metal Storm Records (Azra also handled the release). It came out ahead of their debut studio album, Feel the Fire, and so marks the very start of their recorded story. It appeared only on vinyl.
Its main appeal now is as a snapshot of the band in embryo. Most of the songs were later given fresh recordings: "Rotten to the Core" and "Overkill" turned up on Feel the Fire, while "Fatal If Swallowed" resurfaced on Taking Over. Only "The Answer" never got a second go. The EP has become a sought-after item for devoted fans, though every track also sits on the compilation !!!Fuck You!!! And Then Some.
